Equipment: Kettlebell, pullup bar
Warmup: 10 Turkish getups, 20 kettlebell swings
2-4 rounds of pullups to failure
3-5 rounds of:
- 50 yards of walking lunges
- Pushups to failure
Notes: Rest 1-2 minutes between sets of pullups. For the rounds of walking lunges and pushups, rest as little as possible. Try to keep moving, but don’t allow fatigue to compromise your form. Rest a little between rounds if you have to. Your heart rate should climb to >70% max and stay there. Do not lean over or use your hands during the lunges. Keep impeccable form for each and every lunge.
Progression: Progress by increasing rounds or decreasing rest.
Emphasis: If you are feeling distracted, this one allows you to just turn your brain off and go for it. It delivers a big metabolic hit and works the cardiovascular system significantly.
