At-Home Workout Gripper Workout Exercise Equipment: This workout uses your whole tool kit: 1 kettlebell, figure 8 resistance tube, pull up bar. If you don’t have a place to mount a pull up bar, consider a set of rings. You can hang them from any tree branch. Optional: weighted vest or backpack with a load in it.

Warm up: Turkish Getups, goblet squats, 3 rounds of 5 reps. Use whatever kettlebell you have.
Workout: Start with 2 rounds of 5 reps and work towards 5 rounds of 5. Once you get 5 rounds of 5 reps begin to increase reps when you can. When you can get 15 reps with good form on all of the exercises for 5 rounds, increase the weight of the kettlebell (or pullups). Do left side, then right, then pullups (one round). Do not put down the kettlebell between kettlebell exercises. Don’t underestimate the difficulty of this simple workout. Gripper Workout
Left:
- Single Kettlebell clean and press
- Single Kettlebell snatch
- Single Kettlebell reverse step split squat (vest or backpack can provide extra resistance if needed.)
- Pullups
Right:
- Repeat left side sequence on right side
Notes: If you move quickly through the exercises your heart rate will remain high throughout. Your pace will dictate the metabolic fitness impact of the workout. Rest between sets and use a heavier load for a strength focus. Move quickly for a metabolic training session. There is no separate core exercise needed due to the exercise selection. You could use this simple workout as a long term plan all by itself.
Progression: Because you are working with a fixed load implement (kettlebell), progression involves increasing volume (in this case repetitions). Once you can do this workout for 15 repetitions on all exercises, this method of progression is no longer effective for strength/hypertrophy and it is time for a heavier kettlebell. Gripper Workout
